FBA Shipment Delivered but Not Fully Received: What to Check

By Vendor Recovery Intelligence ·

Compare the shipment plan, what was handed to the carrier, delivery evidence and Amazon's receiving findings. A delivered tracking status is relevant evidence, but it does not by itself establish every unit received or reimbursement eligibility.

Separate the checkpoints.

“Delivered” and “fully reconciled” answer different questions. The carrier record describes a transportation event. The shipment plan describes what you expected to send. Your dispatch records describe what you say left your business. Amazon's receiving findings describe what was recorded against the shipment.

A useful case response identifies the gap between those records. Repeating “tracking says delivered” without identifying the quantities or the unresolved finding may leave the receiving question unanswered.

Make a small comparison before drafting.

Check that the references describe the same shipment. A delivery document that cannot be tied to the affected shipment should not be presented as conclusive proof for it.

Use the discrepancy, not the slogan.

Fictional example: the seller's shipment records show 40 units, carrier tracking shows delivery, and the current Amazon record shows 12 units. The case should make the 40-versus-12 difference explicit and identify the records supporting each figure.

The 28-unit difference is the question to reconcile. It is not automatically proof of a reimbursable Amazon loss. Missing or conflicting records, shipment status and current requirements still matter.

Turn an incomplete reply into one concrete question.

Your response refers to the quantity recorded as received. The unresolved difference is between [supported shipped quantity] and [current recorded quantity] for [shipment]. Our available evidence includes [verified records]. Please explain the findings for the remaining discrepancy and identify any specific evidence still required.

Only list evidence you actually have. Preserve the exact reason for a denial or request for documents. If the response addresses a different shipment or item population, point out that mismatch precisely.

Check the current workflow before submitting.

Do not assume a delivery scan means a shipment is eligible for research or that the same documents and timing apply to every case. Check the shipment's current status and the requirements available in Seller Central. This article supplies no universal filing deadline.

Keep Seller Central inbound reconciliation separate from Vendor Central Freight Collect disputes. Read the distinct Vendor Central Freight Collect guide if Amazon bought directly from your business.
